Blizzard!!!

I only thought those happened in...like...the North Pole. But apparently I was wrong. We are supposed to get up to 2 feet of snow! It reminds me of this ridiculous movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319262/ Hey, if Dennis Quaid wants to snowshoe in to save me I'm not going to put up a fight.

I've taken the snowday opportunity to...be a lazy bum. I brought work home with me like a dutiful employee and have plenty of things on my to do list here, but alas, none of them were as enticing as spending the day in my pjs surfing the internets and enjoying the community atmosphere of facebook with the rest of the homebound. The Year of the Blog

Hello 2011. You seemed to get here pretty fast and I'm sorry if I haven't given you a proper greeting. How about another try at blogging?! I've been a blog junky for a few years now and have always meant to pursue my own but never made the time. With magic of a new year and a fresh start it seems like a good time. Now...what to blog about?!

My number one goal for the new year is to pursue more creative pursuits and passions. I've let myself get too caught up in "The Job" and the house and the kids (these would be my two kittens) and the general daily grind of life. Plus, I am not the world's most focused person. This means that I have lots of ideas rattling around in my head, wanting to get out and into the world, but they rarely come to fruition. *Side note: fruition - great word.* Perhaps, this will become a place to document those pursuits and share with the universe; perhaps it will be an exercise is writing and self reflection; or perhaps it will go into the graveyard of unfinished projects (that's me, always the optimist).

Either way, let's see what you got 2011.
